Gene J. Martin, DDS, MD - Oral Surgery in Marlton, Haddonfield, and Moorestown, New Jersey

Dr. Gene Martin joined the practice of Porter, Martin and Salman in 1999. He attended the Johns Hopkins University for his undergraduate studies earning a B.A. in biology. Dr. Martin continued his studies at the School of Dental Medicine of the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he received a D.D.S. degree. After completing a one year residency in General Practice Dentistry at the University Hospital at Stony Brook, he was accepted in the oral and maxillofacial surgery training program at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. As part of this 6-year residency program, for which he received a certificate, he also earned a M.D. degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, School of Medicine and completed a one year residency in General Surgery.

Dr. Martin was the Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at the Virtua Health Systems Hospitals and served as a member of the Medical Executive Committee from 2007 to 2019. He also has privileges at the Summit Ambulatory Surgical Center in Voorhees. He is licensed in both medicine and dentistry in the states of New Jersey and New York. He was a volunteer instructor at the Dental Care Center at Virtua Camden where he lectured and clinically supervised the residents in Medicine and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for over 20 years. Dr. Martin is a diplomate (Board Certified) of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
