Introduction

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires an additional 4-6 years of hospital-based specialty surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Drs. Porter, Martin and Salman manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Drs. Porter, Martin and Salman practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from Dental Implant Surgery and Wisdom Tooth Removal to Corrective Jaw Surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat Pathology, Facial Injuries and Fractures.

The doctors are trained in providing Intravenous (IV) Sedation or outpatient General Anesthesia in our state-of-the-art equipped office. Whether a patient is able to safely undergo anesthesia in the office setting is at the discretion of the treating doctor. The doctors maintain up-to-date certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). All anesthesia patients are monitored continuously during surgery and the immediate post-operative period.
Surgical Staff
Registered nurses assist the doctors in the administration of anesthesia and are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). The surgical staff at Porter, Martin and Salman also includes experienced dental Assistants who are CPR certified.
